For 2009, Corolla has received a major makeover. Five trim levels offer more choices. New sheet metal strengthens family ties to Matrix, Camry and Yaris. A wider body provides more shoulder room and front hip room than its predecessor. And to accommodate the extra width, the Corolla’s platform and track have been widened, as well. As a result, handling has been enhanced. Two new engines and a new available 5-speed automatic boost performance and a lot of formerly optional features are now standard.
