    Like most about working at Wilsonville Toyota: No Bull process is the only way I can even be in the car business. I take a methodical approach to understanding my customers' needs and great pride in helping them select the 'just right' vehicle.

    I feel that I bring a unique perspective to Toyota sales with former careers as a technology consultant and as a Licensed Acupuncturist. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 beautiful children biking, playing in area parks, and making up silly songs while I play my ukulele. In my opinion, the best food is at Pizza Schmizza as long as my kids are there with me. And, the best vacation spot is definitely Maui.  It's peaceful and beautiful.

I'm also involved in hunter/jumper horse competitions with Tally.  In my opinion, the best food is at McDonalds--Chicken Nugget Happy Meal!  My favorite vacation spot is Alta, California, at our family's lake house that we've been going to for 25 years.

    Like most about working at Wilsonville Toyota: The sales process!  It's simple and I get to be totally up-front and honest with my customers.

    This is my first job out of college, and I have to say that I couldn't have chosen a better one. We have a good business model and a excellent product here, and I am so excited that I got the opportunity to join the Wilsonville Toyota Team.  When I'm not working, I like to play sports, hang out with friends, and eat at Red Robin.  I'm also involved in my community as a volunteer firefighter in Keizer.

    Like most about working at Wilsonville Toyota: How much fun I have!  Everyone has such great attitudes and they're always there if you ever need a helping hand. I am so impressed with the way our business is run--with integrity.     Wilsonville Toyota is why I have such great days! It is true, NO BULL!

    When I'm not working, I get out & about, just enjoying the great Pacific Northwest.  My favorite activity is Sea Kayaking around the San Juan Islands in Puget Sound. You can't beat the view!  I'm also involved in my church. In my opinion, the best food is at Ernesto's in Raleigh Hills because of the wonderful mix of smells--wine and garlic. Order anything on the menu, it's all good.

    If money were no object, I would love to own a Maserati Quadraportte

    I attended the University of New Mexico from 1973-1978. What started as a pre-med collegiate career path ended at UNM’s Robert Anderson School of Business—emphasis in management.

    Dad was a nuclear physicist who questioned everything his whole life—and, the apple did not fall far from the tree!  Mom was the very first female real estate broker-of-record for the largest real estate firm in NJ at the time.

    I’ve had a deep love of cars and the car business since I was 8 and “borrowed” my mom’s station wagon.  (It was returned minus the driver’s door.)  In 1979, I began my career proper in L.A. with Galpin Ford, then the largest volume store in the US.  Over the next 27 years, I worked nearly every position short of turning a wrench.  And, the Bob Lanphere family welcomed me in 1998 to run Beaverton Honda, Beaverton Infiniti, and Beaverton Kia.

    By 2004, I was so disappointed with the general direction of the conventional auto dealership model that I decided it was my time to either change the business, or get out of it all together. The magical journey to Wilsonville Toyota-Scion officially kicked off in 2004 when, as operating partner with Bob, I made the initial presentation to Toyota for the new store they were proposing in Oregon between Salem and Portland.

    We promoted the idea of a fun, customer-friendly environment with a shorter transaction time, one-person service, and the dealership’s best prices immediately presented to its customers. Toyota LOVED it! We were awarded this store in 2006 and we’ve worked hard since then towards our goal of being the only place our customers want to shop for a new or used vehicle.

    Of course, the support of my family makes this possible: Karen, my wife, is an incredible healthcare professional, working as a physical therapist since graduating Ohio State University.  She’s also a fantastic mother of 4—hers, mine, and ours.  

    Aaron is my oldest. I’ve got my eye on him as he’s a team leader in our top-notch Service Department here at Wilsonville Toyota.

    Kara will graduate from Oregon State University this year and then move on to continuing studies in healthcare.  She’s considering occupational or physical therapy—Just a chip off the ol’ block.

    Danielle, our 2005 Tualatin High-School Valedictorian, won a dean’s scholarship in biomedical engineering and is currently a junior at Oregon State University.  She loves animals, art, and her family.

    And, certainly not least…Shaina, a player for the ‘Aftershock’ in the Classic Soccer League, wants to be a veterinarian when she finishes growing up.  For now, it’s soccer and the busy fifth-grader life in Tigard.

    When I'm not working I really like golf, wake-boarding, skiing, spending time with my wife and 3 kids who put up with my commitment to this career. I am very much a family man. I'm also involved in Portland Basketball City League and Sonrise Community Church in Hillsboro.  In my opinion, the best food is at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Great service and a variety of good food.
    My favorite vacation spot is a "Stay-cation" on Lake Shasta with the entire family, 17 in all, on 1 houseboat.

    I have been in Toyota Retail for 10 years. I have four children and four grandchildren.     Favorite Thing About Wilsonville Toyota: No games atmosphere.  This the ONLY place to buy a car in our market that is completely hassle free.  I have been here since the store opened, and it is really AWESOME to have been here from the beginning.

    When I'm not working, I'm into computers, cars, and my garden. In my opinion, the best food is at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and my favorite vacation spot is a tie between Alaska and Florida.

    Like most about working at Wilsonville Toyota: Wow! What a difference here!  I had been in the automobile industry for 10 years in Tucson, Arizona. But, I really love the No Bull philosophy here.

    I moved my family to Portland to experience the remarkable outdoor scene here. Running, kayaking, hunting, camping, and fishing.  We love the beach and ocean, anywhere from Seward, Alaska to La Jolla, California! I love to trail run and have completed two full marathons. I also recently ran the Timberline half-marathon and Mt. Hood.
