Pre-Collision System

Corolla iM uses an integrated camera and a radar to detect the vehicles around you. In the event that a frontal collision is likely, the Pre-Collision System (PCS)2 will prompt you to take action through audible and visual alerts. If you take the appropriate action, PCS may apply additional brake force through Brake Assist (BA)3, and if you don’t brake in time, the system may automatically apply the brakes for you in order to help prevent a frontal collision.

Lane Departure Alert

The Lane Departure Alert (LDA)4 was designed to recognize lane departure under certain circumstances. LDA will activate at speeds above 32 mph and uses visual and audio alerts to prompt you to safely take action to return to the center of your lane.

Automatic High Beams

Standard Automatic High Beams (AHB)5 help you see efficiently at night without distracting other drivers. AHB works at speeds above 25 mph and uses an in-vehicle camera to detect headlights and taillights of other vehicles. The system can then automatically toggle between high beams and low beams to provide you with sufficient light without blinding other drivers on the road.
