A shape-recognizing camera is paired with millimeter-wave radar to give the driver visual and audio alerts regarding potential collisions. Automatic braking can also aid in mitigating possible collisions.

Standard Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

C-HR comes equipped with Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) 19 that utilizes a radar system and smart camera to detect the distance and speed of the vehicle in front of you. The system then changes your speed according to the readings and can bring your vehicle to a complete stop. It can also be used much like common cruise control systems in light traffic in order to maintain a preset following distance and speed for your vehicle.

Standard Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist

Lane Departure Alert (LDA) system will provide audible and visual alerts on the MID screen if an unintended lane departure is detected across visible lines. Steering Assist (SA) will work to correct the error if no driver intervention is detected. 21

Standard Automatic High Beams

Automatic High Beams (AHB) 27 provide greater visibility to increase safety during night driving. The system uses a camera that can pick up an upcoming vehicle’s lights from up to 2000 feet away. The system is also designed to change between low and high beams in specific scenarios.

You can additionally use the Brake Hold feature as you drive. When using this feature, you can stop your car by using the brake pedal as usual, which will trigger a MID indication light for the hold function. You can then remove your foot from the brake pedal as your vehicle shouldn’t move until you press the accelerator to keep moving.
