The Toyota Entune system is a one stop infotainment suite featured in new Toyota models. First introduced in the 2012 Prius, the Entune system has gone through a lot of improvements over the years and is now one of the most comprehensive systems in vehicles today.

Depending on which Toyota you’re interested in, there will be one of three Entune systems.

Entune Audio is the base level Entune system, but don’t think that means it doesn’t come with lots of features. It has a 6.1-inch (minimum) touch screen, and comes with your standard AM/FM radio with a CD player, but the cool stuff comes in when connecting your smartphone.

These features allow you to stream all of your music, podcasts or audiobooks from your phone through your car speakers. You can plug your phone in with an available AUX port, or via wireless Bluetooth® technology. If you connect your phone with Bluetooth® you get some awesome extra features including voice recognition for hands-free calling, easy volume controls on the steering wheel, Siri® Eyes Free for iPhone users, and Entune will even read out your text messages for you.

Entune Audio Plus adds even more features to the base package. It adds more listening options with integrated SiriusXM® satellite radio1, HD Radio™ with traffic and weather, plus a Scout® GPS Link2.

SiriusXM® radio gives you commercial free music and talk with a huge variety of stations wherever you are in the world beamed straight to your Toyota. HD Radio™ is much like your regular AM/FM radio, only there are more stations and the signal comes in even clearer than FM. Scout® GPS is a smartphone app that connects to the Entune Audio Plus system that gives you turn-by-turn directions to get you wherever you want to go.

Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite is the most advanced Entune system there is. The touch screen goes up to 9-inches and has all the great features included with Entune Audio and Audio Plus.

Entune Premium goes a step up and features an entire suite of useful apps for you to use out on the road. It lets your stream music through Pandora®, iHeart Radio®, and Slacker Radio. It also features Yelp® and OpenTable to help you find a good place to eat, and even make a reservation, wherever you may be.

Entune Premium also comes with an integrated navigation system that gives you turn-by-turn directions and shows your route right on the screen, all without having to use your phone (or your data). You can have the navigation system remember all of your favorite places and use it to discover new ones.

Certain models that have Entune Premium Audio also have an optional JBL® Audio system. The JBL® Audio system uses amplifiers and up to 15 speakers to deliver awesome surround sound to everyone in the vehicle, it is a vehicle audio system fit for any audiophile (be sure to ask for a demo during a test drive).
