- Champoeg State Park (St. Paul, OR)
Champoeg State Park, between Newberg and Donald, is no doubt one of the most beautiful natural places in the Wilsonville area. The park features the captivating combination of wildlife and recreation, making it perfect for large gatherings and outdoor celebrations. Nestled by the scenic Willamette River, the area is surrounded by lush green forest and rolling fields. There are even cabins, campsites, and RV Parking if your family and friends wanted to keep the celebration going into the next day! Not only is this area beautiful, but it also has a lot of activities that guests can enjoy during their visit to the park. Children will easily be entertained by the park facilities, guests can enjoy hiking trails and historical sites, and the casual athletes in your clan can enjoy one of the area’s most spectacular disc golf courses. The park has three spacious day-use areas offering reservable group picnic spaces. The Pioneer Memorial Building and Pavilion can be rented together or separately for special events of up to 200 people. The covered pavilion may be reserved without use of the Indoor Memorial building at a base rate of $200 (includes both structures) But is only $100 if you just plan to reserve the outdoor area. The park and campground are open year-round, so it will fit your schedule, whatever it is! - Stein-Boozier Barn (Wilsonville, OR)
The Stein-Boozier Barn is a perfect venue for your budget-friendly wedding! Originally built in 1901, the barn has a dedicated team of staff and attentive coordinators to help host your once-in-a-lifetime celebration. The barn can accommodate approximately 96 guests and has 1325 square feet of event space filled with a charming, rustic décor. The outdoor area is ideal for photoshoots and is surrounded by beautiful forest views. Boozier Barn’s main event space has that picturesque, country feel. The barn has a large patio, dance floor, and a polished bar area for bartenders.
Stein-Boozier Barn in Wilsonville prides itself on providing inexpensive services for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception party. You can save big by having a weekday wedding, which will cost $450 to $600 to rent the space, but weekends will more than double the cost, so considering your date is important. They provide a variety of amenities and rental equipment, including lighting, chairs, and tables. Start with a private booking online or via a phone call, Then sit back, relax and enjoy your special celebration in the countryside. - Wilsonville Memorial Park (Wilsonville, OR)
What could possibly be better than FREE? When you’re planning a wedding, not much! Wilsonville Memorial Park is the city’s oldest and largest park and includes beautiful, expansive natural areas with an extensive trail system. Memorial Park also has a half mile of Willamette River frontage with lovely views and is bisected by Boeckman Creek. If you ever wanted a wedding by the water, this is a perfect place. The non-reservable picnic shelters are perfect for smaller wedding events, but these are first come first serve, so you may not want to take that kind of chance while planning a wedding. If you really want to be as frugal as possible, this is a great option.If you don’t want to risk it, there’s another option! The site has two fee-based, reservable group areas: The River Shelter and Forest Shelter. Both are well used and booked throughout the spring and summer seasons, so get your request in well in advance of your event. The River Shelter sits in the southwestern corner of the park, near the Willamette River. This is the largest covered shelter in the park, so it is necessary to reserve the River Shelter during peak season, which runs from the second weekend in April through the second weekend in October of each year. The max capacity for this shelter is approximately 200 people, and it will cost you anywhere from $160 to $320 to reserve. On the other hand, The Forest Shelter lives on the opposite end of the park and is in a secluded shady area, mostly surrounded by a woods with a small, sloping, grassy area. This has a max capacity of 150 guests, and will cost $160 to $270, depending on the season. Now, that’s not a bad deal! - Al Kader Shrine Center (Wilsonville, OR)
The Al Kader Shrine Center is an excellent space for larger wedding parties. The main hall provides a huge indoor area that can comfortably accommodate 250 guests but has seating for up to 320 people. Your wedding guests will be sure to have plenty of room, rain or shine! The mezzanine area opens into the main hall that is a massive 5,500 square feet, with high 19-foot ceilings. There is a configurable stage with spotlighting, a tiled dance floor which includes a rotating mirrored disco ball, and a full bar for a fun reception after your ceremony!
For your audiovisual needs, there is a huge 12-foot retractable projection screen and a full sound system with several microphones for guests to use during their toasts. There is also a full-service kitchen, refrigeration space, and parking included for up to 100 vehicles. The whole package will cost you about $3,000, regardless of season. Considering all that is included and the spacious venue, this is a great deal to consider for your wedding. - Kohl Creek Golf Course (Wilsonville, OR)
Build the wedding day of your dreams in this elegant and rustic forest setting! Kohl Creek Golf Course is the perfect venue for nature-lovers everywhere. Included in your rental of the space is use of both enchanted forest and meadow sites for your ceremony. This includes a photo booth area, a covered reception area, tables and chairs for 125 guests, covered wooden bar area, mason jars and votives for centerpieces, acres of green grass for optional yard games, under-tent lighting and free parking! It basically takes all the hard work out of planning a wedding—it’s all here!
There are extra amenities available for guests, including catering. It is only 20 minutes south of Portland, very conveniently located just a few minutes off of I-5. The park is open late and will only cost between $2,000 and $3,000 for the entire package.
